Durability Test Fixture

I machined a prototype hinge out of PET plastic and tested the design and material for durability, as a component of a cardiac health monitoring toilet seat, the 'Fully Integrated Toilet Seat', for Rochester Institute of Technology. This technology is being commercialized as the 'The Heart Seat' by Heart Health Intelligence. The testing fixture consisted of a milling machine fitted with a fabricated offset stainless steel rod, a mounting block, fabricated connecting and stabilizing rods, an analog counter and plastic bowl. All testing was documented with photos and videos for client and Think Design record and reference.
